Now What? - Switch Projects

You made a sample, or a little quiltlet to show your Group, and now you need to do something with it. Me, I have no wall space left, so hanging things up is not an option; your mileage, as they say, may vary...

Now, I really like fabric bowls, they are un-fragile, washable, and useful, and they post delightfully easily, so, a nice send-a-friend gift..
I took a little square quilt sample with a bound edge.
Note that you will see the back, so it's always a good idea to use something pretty under your samples...

Remove any hanging kit/sleeves/labels etc.. switchbowl2
Fold the quilt in half, right sides in and pin two "darts" as shown on opposite sides. The wider your darts, the deeper the bowl, so pin and look before you sew..
switchbowl3
Sew firmly on both sides, back-tacking for strength at each end of the darts

Repeat on the remaining two sides

Oh, look, instant 3-dimensions... Sweets fill these nicely, or bread rolls, or keys, or small kittens...
